Tamed and Wild
It’s a special bond that we share.
My horse may be tacked and bridled
but its pure heart is wild and free.

It’s a special bond that we share.
My horse may be tacked and bridled
but its pure heart is wild and free.

On the other side, we are pure light.
On this side, we are fractured.
Green envy seeps into sorrowful blue.
Sometimes, we are fiery red with rage,
melting into soft pink marshmallows.

Today I recognised a part of me
When I looked up at the trunk of a tree
I experienced freedom from up high
Imagined the view from an eagle’s eye

A dialogue between Ego, Spirit, and Soul in the poem, A Conversation.

Upcoming poetry chapbook. Explore the connection between deep meditation and nature’s wisdom in this excerpt from the poem, Revealed.

We are an expansion of thoughts
We are co-creators of our world
Manifested and forged into being
Through the vortex of energy unfurled

I walk softly through the remains
of a life I once lived.
Memories fill the ash and plume
with forgotten cries.

My heart is communing with my mind, sending feelings that are first interpreted through images and thoughts, then translated into words.
The language of my heart is like the music; my mind provides the words to sing.

In this moment, let’s take a breath.
Deeply, we expand our lungs wide.
Let our egos go, drift away;
dissolve our past, all judgment, pride.
