Welcome to my poetry diary. This is a collection of my original verse and personal reflections, beginning from my very first poems in 1988 to the latest entries in my creative journey. We had a tree in our backyard that shed its brown leaves in autumn. It was beautiful in full bloom but left a mess when it lost them. I made a treehouse on my own, it was crooked, but it was strong. My parents wanted to chop it down; I cried, hiding all day long! …
Maybe we light up the night with cell phones because we’re afraid of the dark to come. Constantly filming, snapping, recording in a world that will finally succumb.
It’s a special bond that we share.
My horse may be tacked and bridled
but its pure heart is wild and free.

With loving words
Don’t just stop where they
Left the lips to another’s ears.
Souls relaxing in the now.
Soaking in the salty sea.
I’m a dreamer with a poet’s heart
A blessed woman playing her part
A soul drifting in this life’s embrace
Learning and growing in so much grace
On the other side, we are pure light.
On this side, we are fractured.
Green envy seeps into sorrowful blue.
Sometimes, we are fiery red with rage,
melting into soft pink marshmallows.
Today I recognised a part of me
When I looked up at the trunk of a tree
I experienced freedom from up high
Imagined the view from an eagle’s eye
