Blackfish, Foil Surfers And Pelicans: An Evening River Walk With Brad
There is a quiet grounding in slowing down and returning to places filled with long-standing memories. In this latest film, I take you along for an evening stroll by the water to experience the peaceful rhythm of the local riverfront.
My latest video invites you to pause and soak in a simple evening out with Brad and our Jack Russell, Bonnie. We start along the grassy riverbank at golden hour, taking in the cool air and looking out over the water. Along the way, Brad points out some seeds forming on the native Lomandra, and we stop to chat with a local fisherman about catching blackfish with green weed around Lennox and Byron.
Filming and writing allow me to capture these quiet, unhurried moments with family and nature. Whether it is watching an osprey fly overhead, spotting a foil surfer gliding across the river, or having a good laugh after mistaking geese for pelicans, these ordinary encounters often inspire my poetry and creative projects. Through sharing this visual diary, I hope to bring a moment of stillness, fresh air, and calm into your day.
I invite you to join me through The Woolcottage Journal, where I share reflections on nature, family, creativity, and the quiet moments that often become our most treasured memories.
