A Summer Remembered | Snorkelling, Gardens and Australian Wildlife
There is a unique stillness to be found in the change of seasons. In this latest film, I look back on the warmth of a summer day spent on the Far North Coast of New South Wales, contrasting those golden coastal memories with the quiet, cooler rhythm of our current winter.
My latest video invites you to slow down and observe the small, everyday miracles of our region. From the shoreline, I watched Brad and Toby explore the water, catching glimpses of their excitement as they discovered the life beneath the surface. Back home, I spent time in our garden, watching a blue-tongue lizard forage for a sweet treat and listening to the evening chorus of birds. These moments reminded me once again why it is so important to pause and simply watch.
Writing and photography have always been my way of documenting these fleeting moments. By sharing this film, I hope to offer you a sense of peace and a reminder of the joy found in nature’s simple, recurring cycles. It is a heartfelt reflection on the season that has passed and the memories that linger.
I invite you to join me through The Woolcottage Journal, where I share reflections on nature, family, creativity and the quiet moments that often become our most treasured memories.
