Picking Our First Mango | Garden Tidy, Sourdough & River Swim

In this peaceful, slow-living video, we start the day by picking our first-ever mango from the garden, a small but exciting harvest after watching the tree grow. There is something special about tasting fruit from your own backyard, and it felt like the perfect reward after a simple garden tidy with mowing, whippersnipping and raking.

I also share a glimpse into our daily life at ABCeeds, our family seed business, where much of our time is spent harvesting, cleaning and preparing seeds. Working from home and building a small family business comes with its own challenges, but also so much quiet satisfaction in living close to nature and the seasons.

Inside, I share a before-and-after of Brad’s baking with fresh sourdough loaves, one of those simple routines that bring comfort and rhythm to the day. We also head out for a swim in the river to cool off, visit the market for local honey, and finish with a peaceful walk and quiet moments by the water.

These simple moments remind me how important it is to slow down, appreciate nature, and find beauty in ordinary days. I hope this video brings you a little peace and inspiration to enjoy the small things around you.
