Mount Tamborine: Visiting Friends And Morning Birdsong
Arriving at our friends’ property in Mount Tamborine was full of excitement. Driving down their long driveway lined with avocado trees, we spotted wild rabbits darting into the grass too fast to catch on camera, while Toby and Jennifer practised their German in the car. The moment we arrived, Bonnie, our Jack Russell, was off on an adventure, eagerly chasing their beautiful Bengal cat, Rosie, up the grand wooden staircase.
Early the next morning, Bonnie was awoken by the incredible mountain birdlife fill the air. While the rest of the house was still fast asleep, I took a quiet moment to wander through the home with her, admiring the architectural details and the indoor wall garden overflowing with lush greenery.
We stepped outside onto the sweeping lawns to enjoy the cool mountain air as the forest came alive with morning chorus. Watching the neighbouring alpacas graze across the paddock and capturing an Australian wood duck take flight over the fields are the simple, unhurried moments I love to share.
Filming and writing allow me to capture these simple, unhurried moments. I invite you to join me as I share reflections on nature, family, creativity, and the quiet moments that often become our most treasured memories.
