Resonance: Spiritual Connection, Gardening, and the Light Within

A Note From Angela Woolcott (2025)

This post is shared for historical reference to help document my journey as a writer and author. It was originally published in 2017 on my first blog and reflects my personal and creative Journey at that time.

I am often reminded of the profound simplicity of finding true connection, much like the insights shared by James Redfield:

“You do not make yourself love. You allow love to enter you. But to do this, you must position your mind by remembering what it felt like and try to feel it again.” ‘The Celestine Prophecy’ (book)by James Redfield.

When I step into my garden, I see a beautiful reflection of life’s challenges. As I cultivate my plants, I also tend to my inner landscape. I’m often struck by how changing my focus from life’s daily struggles reveals that even the so-called “weeds” are just another form of God’s abundant growth. While I admire their tenacity, the act of gently removing them is not one of cruelty, but of mindful clearing.

This physical act of gardening becomes a powerful metaphor for decluttering the mind. Just as I create space for my chosen flowers to flourish, I also make room for clarity and purpose within myself. I accept and bless these wild growths, acknowledging their place, even as I choose to plant intentional beauty.

To truly evolve, I must connect with the root of my existence and reach for the heavens for the strength to grow. When I dig deep, I find that the light that guides my way is not just around me, but powerfully within me. This connection extends to the earth and all living things, revealing that we are all of the same divine source.

“We are one. We are light, energy, and love.”

When you shift the focus of your life from all the things that aren’t unfolding as you intend, and instead embrace gratitude for all the good that is blossoming around you, answers and guidance begin to flow effortlessly. This helps you to discover your true calling and nurture your deepest self.

So listen… listen carefully. It is a subtle vibration that reverberates throughout the cosmos and permeates all of creation. It is the call back to who you really are: vibration, energy, stardust… light.
